Adelaide is an Associate Professor, an accomplished educator and scientist with over 18 years of research experience in Africa and in the UK. She is the Kenya principal investigator for the MRF-funded HEARTH KENYA study, which aims to develop mathematical functions to estimate indoor temperatures from weather data and identify building structures most conducive to maternal and newborns. More recently, she was the Kenya Field Principal Investigator for the successful CHAMNHA study that examined extreme heat impacts on maternal and neonatal health (https://www.lshtm.ac.uk/research/centres-projects-groups/chamnha#publications). She has been a PI or Co-PI on over 15 studies, mentored numerous researchers/students, and published more than 50 articles, of which she is the first author on 25 papers.
