Lizette Njideka Ezenekwe is a Clinical Pharmacist and Climatologist currently serving as a lecturer in the Department of Clinical Pharmacy and Pharmacy Management at Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Anambra state, Nigeria. She holds a dual appointment, also teaching climate studies in the Department of Geography at the same institution. Lizette's research interests span public health, evidence-based clinical trials, climate change, and neglected tropical diseases.
Born on July 8, 1978, in Tiko, Cameroon, Lizette is a Nigerian and n the process of earning a Ph.D. in Clinical Pharmacy and Pharmacy Management, focusing on strategies to overcome barriers to the drug revolving fund in Nigerian tertiary institutions.
Her educational background includes a B.Sc. in Geography and an M.Sc in climatology from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka; a B.Pharm and M.Pharm from Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Education from the National Teachers Institute, Kaduna.
Lizette has over a decade of academic experience and has contributed significantly to both the pharmaceutical and geographical fields through teaching, research, and publications. She has authored book chapters on climate systems and tropical vegetation and published several journal articles on topics ranging from climate change to public health issues.
In addition to her academic and research contributions, Lizette has held administrative positions, including Acting Head of the Department of Geography at Nwafor Orizu College of Education and Chairperson of the Induction Planning Committee at the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Nnamdi Azikiwe University. She is a member of several professional organizations, including the International Pharmaceutical Federation, the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria, and the Association of Nigerian Geographers.
