Alejandra Sandoval

My name is Alejandra Esther Sandoval, veterinarian and specialist in university teaching, we are currently working in my province of Chubut, Patagonian Argentina, with projects in the Secretary of Health related to the surveillance and detection of vector borne diseases, including those related to arboviruses and among others such as Hantavirus. We are carrying out this project from a ONE HEALTH approach and from a perspective that crosses Climate Change, since they are diseases sensitive to it. On the other hand, it is added that this year we have formed the institutional committee on Climate Change and Health in the Chubut´s province, made up of several governmental and non-governmental sectors. From the academic field, at the National University of Patagonia San Juan Bosco, we are also emphasizing careers related to health sciences, in my case in the medical career with the team of the chair to which I belong called Research in Health and Bioethics, we have been teaching during 10 years with the inclusion of Environmental Bioethics in which one of the main is the link between Health and Climate Change, constituting the ethical aspects a knowledge to be applied to health practice in the training of future health professionals.
