Putri Nilam Sari is a lecturer and researcher in Environmental Health at the Faculty of Public Health, Andalas University. Putri earned her bachelor's and master's degrees in public health at Andalas University. She is also currently pursuing her PhD in environmental engineering program, at Bandung Institute of Technology with the dissertation theme of Health Impact due to Air Pollution.
Putri received a research grant from a Japanese water treatment company with climate change, sanitation, and clean water research themes for the financial year 2017-2018. She attended training on global change issues in Vietnam and Malaysia in 2018 and 2019. She joined an international summer school titled "Science, Technology, Religion, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STREAM) for Healthy and Sustainable Living" hosted by Northern Illinois University & Bandung Institute of Technology in 2022. Putri also received an award as the most outstanding lecturer in the Faculty of Public Health at Andalas University.
Putri published her research results on climate change and health in various journals, national and international seminars, and mass media. She actively applied her findings in practical programs, such as community service and development projects, to help climate-care villages prevent health problems and disasters. For her future career development and research, she continues to focus on calculating the impact of global change on health, with the ultimate goal of preventing diseases caused by climate variability and planning a better policy to reduce health-related problems.
