Radhisha Shivnal Nath is a Fijian researcher and educator born in 1998 in Lautoka, Fiji. Ms. Nath holds a Bachelor of Education (Secondary) from Fiji National University and a Postgraduate Diploma in Climate Change from the University of the South Pacific.
Currently, she is in the final stages of her Masters by Research in Climate Change at Fiji National University, focusing on "The Role of Women in Agriculture and their Contribution to Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation" in Sigatoka and Ba, Fiji. Simultaneously, she is completing a second Postgraduate Diploma in Diplomacy and International Affairs at the University of the South Pacific.
Ms. Nath’s research interests lie at the intersection of climate change, gender roles in agriculture, and sustainable development. Her work explores how women in Fiji's rural communities contribute to climate resilience through farming practices. She is particularly passionate about addressing gender stereotypes that hinder climate change adaptation and mitigation strategies in Pacific Island nations. She has attended multiple local and international conferences, and presented research papers in prestigious countries such as India, Philippines, and the USA.
As an educator, Radhisha has experience teaching in secondary schools, where she implemented innovative teaching strategies and contributed to holistic student development. She is also actively involved in youth empowerment initiatives, served as the Director of Administration and Policy for the Fiji National University Students' Association and as General Secretary for a local youth club focused on community service and climate change advocacy.
