Sharon is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Law, Universiti Malaya. Her research interests revolve around issues relating to research ethics and global health issues. She is a member of the Steering Committee of the Southeast Asia Bioethics Network. She is also working with colleagues on ethical and legal issues raised by the use of precision medicine in low and middle income countries as part of the Global Health Bioethics Network.
