Ana Palmero

Argentina
Ana is an independent ethics and legal consultant. She has over 15 years of experience working at the intersection of ethics, law and policy, including over 10 years leading research ethics and regulation programs of the Ministry of Health at the national and local level in Argentina. She currently serves as a consultant at the Ethics Review Committee (ERC) Secretariat in the Global Health Ethics & Governance Unit at WHO. She is a member of the Ethics Review Board of Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors without Borders) and serves on the Steering Committee of the Global Forum on Bioethics in Research. In Argentina, she is a member of the REC of the Dr. Ramos Mejia General Hospital. Additionally, she is an adjunct professor in the Master of Molecular Biology program at the University of Buenos Aires, where she teaches research ethics, and she is an invited professor in the Bioethics Program of FLACSO. From 2016 to 2023, she was responsible for the Research Ethics Program at the Ministry of Health in Argentina.
